![]() Go take a Bat Bridge tour (weather-permitting) - between April and October you can find the largest urban bat colony in North America under the South Congress bridge.Here are some of our favorite things we like to do with out-of-town visitors: Kerbey Lane Cafe (Their queso is a must!)ĭowntown Austin is where you will find an abundance of restaurants and bars.A great way to spend a few hours in their reclining seats. Go see a movie at Alamo Drafthouse Slaughter (seriously!) - for those thar don't know, the Alamo Drafthouse is a movie theater chain born out of Austin that specializes in full-service meals and drinks while you watch a movie.There are a number of places you can access it - with Twin Falls being our favorite. Visit the Barton Creek Greenbelt - this is 12 miles of walking trails and swimming holes that winds through Austin.Get a drink at Cosmic Coffee or Radio Coffee and Beer - if you want to just relax and take it easy while enjoying a cup of coffee or a beer throughout the day, we highly recommend either of these two locations.Grab some Asian/BBQ fusion at Loro - one of our favorite fusion places to eat in all of Austin, Loro is a joint venture from two renowned restaurant owners from Franklin's BBQ and Uchi Sushi.You can get their pastrami in multiple ways, but we recommend having the moist pastrami on their Caesar salad.įor those staying in South Austin, here are some of our recommendations: Whenever we are out that way, we make a point to stop at this restaurant. ![]()
